• การเรียนแบบ Work-based Education
ผมชอบแนวคิดของโปรแกรมเรียนควบคู่การทำงานมาก เพราะถ้าผมต้องการเรียนต่อปริญญาโทในต่างประเทศ พวกเขามักจะต้องการให้มีประสบการณ์ทำงานอย่างน้อยหนึ่งถึงสองปี ดังนั้นการเรียนจบจากที่นี่พร้อมกับประสบการณ์การทำงานมากมายถือเป็นข้อได้เปรียบอย่างมหาศาล

• รายวิชาเรียนและคลาสโปรด
ผมชอบวิชา Digital Marketing, Foundations of Business Management, ภาษาไทย และปรัชญา ซึ่งวิชาภาษาไทยเป็นหนึ่งในวิชาที่ผมชอบมาก เพราะช่วยต่อยอดจากทักษะพื้นฐานที่มีอยู่แล้ว

อีกวิชาที่ประทับใจมากคือวิชาหมากล้อม (Go) ตอนแรกผมคิดว่าคงเป็นแค่การเรียนเล่นเกม แต่กลับพบว่าหมากล้อมสอดแทรกบทเรียนชีวิตที่ลึกซึ้งและสามารถนำไปปรับใช้กับวิชาอื่นได้อีกด้วย

• จุดเด่นของโปรแกรม
สิ่งที่ผมชอบมากคือขนาดชั้นเรียนที่เล็ก โดยมีนักศึกษาเพียง 45-50 คน ซึ่งทำให้สร้างความสัมพันธ์กับเพื่อนและรับคำแนะนำจากอาจารย์ได้ง่ายขึ้น อาจารย์หลายท่านมาจากมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำของไทย เช่น มหิดล ทำให้ได้รับความรู้ที่มีคุณภาพสูง เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับประสบการณ์ที่มหาวิทยาลัย Rochester ที่ผมเคยเรียน ซึ่งคลาสเคมีของผมมีนักเรียนกว่า 300 คน ทำให้แทบไม่มีโอกาสพูดคุยกับอาจารย์เลย การได้เรียนในชั้นเรียนเล็กที่ PIM จึงเป็นประสบการณ์ที่มีคุณค่าอย่างยิ่ง ทั้งในด้านวิชาการและสังคม

• เป้าหมายในอนาคต
ในเทอมนี้ ผมวางแผนจะก่อตั้งชมรมโต้วาที (Debate Club) เพื่อช่วยเพื่อนๆ พัฒนาทักษะการพูดในที่สาธารณะ และอาจจัดการแข่งขันโต้วาทีในอนาคต
หลังจบการศึกษา ผมยังคงสนใจเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อมและระบบขนส่งสาธารณะอย่างมาก และตั้งใจจะนำความรู้ที่ได้รับจากการเรียนสาขาการจัดการธุรกิจไปประยุกต์ใช้ในด้านนี้ต่อไป

• Work-based Education
I love the idea of the work study program. And because if I want to do Master’s studies in other countries, they require you to have one year, two years of work experience. So graduating from this program already with lots of work experiences is a massive benefit.

• Courses and Favorite Classes
I studied Digital Marketing, Foundations of Business Management, Thai, and Philosophy. I particularly loved the Thai class because it helped me build on small skills I already had.
One of my favorite courses was the Chinese board game class (Go). Initially, I thought it would just be about the game, but it turns out it was all about life and it was very applicable to the other classes and the other studies we did as well.

• What I Like About the Program
One standout feature is the small class size (around 45-50 students), which makes it easier to build friendships and receive individual attention from professors. Many of our instructors come from top-tier universities in Thailand, such as Mahidol, and they provide high-quality education.

Compared to my experience at Rochester, where my chemistry lecture had 300 students and interaction with professors was minimal, the one-on-one engagement at PIM is invaluable. The small batch size enhances both the academic and social experience.

• Plan for The Future
This semester, I plan to start a debate club, hoping to help classmates improve their public speaking skills and possibly organize a tournament. After graduation, I’m still extremely passionate about the environment and about public transit. So I want to take my skills here in business management, and be able to apply them to that field.

• Choosing PIM
I was looking for a university that provides real-life experience, not just classroom learning. After researching many schools in Thailand, I found that PIM offers internships and a well-structured program. That’s why I chose PIM.

• Expectations before Studying at PIM
My expectation from studying in PIIM. Firstly is my internship experience because most of the school they don’t have internship experience, but PIIM they have. So that’s actually what I’m looking forward and also I am hoping for not only the lesson, but re-based on the real life experience. For example like marketing, they don’t only teach about the lesson. They let us do it in real life. That’s what I’d expected.

• Favorite Part of the Program
My favorite part about studying is, I can go out and explore the real thing, for example, Ajarn tells us to do the CSR project so we can experience the real CSR in Thailand. My time at PIM has shown me the true value of learning through real-world experience. The combination of business education, internship opportunities, and professional networking has helped me gain valuable skills and prepare for my future career.

• Plan for the Future
For my goal if I finish this school three and a half year, I would love to see myself as an entrepreneur because iMBE teaches how to be an entrepreneur, not only just a manager that manage the company, So I want to see myself as an entrepreneur that I will use all my knowledge that I’ve gained from the iMBE course. And I hope that I will can handle my own company and be successful in the future.

• Choosing PIM
One of the main reasons that I decide to study at PIM is my sister recommends me. It’s that the program that arrange well with my future career aspiration. Like, the PIM emphasize a hands-on learning approach. It’s not commonly found in other institute.

• Favorite Part of the Program
Instead solely on textbook. PIM work on a real-life project from the company. This allows student to develop professional skill while studying here. That’s why I decided to study here. I also have the opportunity to experience a big project with the Central Pattana company, which was a great experience too.

• Plan for the Second Year
For the second year, I’m planning to get more skill, you know, to develop myself in term of like academic and then experience. And I’m also planning to make a connection with people around the world because I know that PIM have many international students. I also want to get more opportunity on internship programs because I really love working.

• Experience at PIM
My experience at PIM has been amazing. I love being part of the PIM and iMBE family. I have learned about work policies, real-world business, and working outside the classroom. I’ve had the chance to make friendships with people from different countries and cultures, participate in many Work-Based Education activities, and improve my Thai and Chinese language skills. PIM also offers great opportunities, such as internships after completing the first year.

• Study in iMBE program
What I like about the IMBE program is that it is beneficial for both foreign and Thai students who want to experience international Work-Based Education. This program is not just about lectures but includes case studies, company visits, and networking with business owners. It provides the perfect combination of academic learning, real-world experience, and industry connections, preparing students for careers in modern trade, digital commerce, and entrepreneurship.

• Internship Experience
My internship experience has been a valuable part of my student life. My first internship was a 2-month internship at 7-Eleven, which was challenging at first but taught me a lot about retail knowledge, business skills, and customer service. My second internship was a 3-month internship at ZUZU Hospitality, a company related to software, distribution, and revenue management. Both 7-Eleven and ZUZU Hospitality internships helped me grow, become more mature, and handle greater responsibilities.
Right now, I am an influencer and content creator in Cambodia as a part-time job. In the future, I plan to work full-time in marketing and apply the skills I learned at PIM in the real business world.

My ultimate dream is to own my own business, but first, I want to gain more experience as an employee before becoming a business owner.

ส่วนที่ฉันชอบที่สุดคือการที่เราได้มีโอกาสทำวิจัยตลาด (Market Research) ด้วยตัวเอง อย่างในบางวิชา เราได้รับผลิตภัณฑ์จากต่างประเทศมาแล้วต้องศึกษาตลาดเอง ซึ่งช่วยให้เราเข้าใจในมุมมองของการทำธุรกิจจริง ๆ เช่น ถ้าเราต้องการนำเข้าสินค้าหรือทำธุรกิจนำเข้า เราจะรู้ว่าต้องทำอะไรบ้าง เพราะแม้แต่ในชีวิตการทำงานจริง เราก็ต้องทำแบบเดียวกัน เช่น การทำวิจัยตลาด ส่งแบบสอบถาม ทดสอบผลิตภัณฑ์ก่อนวางจำหน่าย ทำให้เราคุ้นเคยกับกระบวนการเหล่านี้ และในอนาคตหากเราต้องทำอะไรที่เกี่ยวข้อง ก็จะทำได้ง่ายขึ้น

• ทักษะที่ได้รับจากการเรียนหลักสูตร iMBE
ฉันคิดว่าฉันได้รับทักษะที่หลากหลาย ทั้งด้านวิชาการและด้านอื่น ๆ เช่น ความฉลาดทางอารมณ์ (Emotional Intelligence) และทักษะการสื่อสาร เพราะในคลาสเรียนจะมีการนำเสนอ (Presentation) เยอะมาก แม้ว่าตอนแรกเราจะกลัวหรือไม่มั่นใจในการพูด แต่หลักสูตรออกแบบมาให้เราต้องฝึกการสื่อสารอยู่ตลอด

อีกสิ่งที่สำคัญคือ การบริหารเวลา เพราะทุกครั้งที่มีโปรเจกต์ เราไม่สามารถปล่อยให้เลยกำหนดส่งได้ เราต้องจัดการงานหลายอย่างพร้อมกัน เพราะในแต่ละสัปดาห์อาจมีการนำเสนอหลายครั้ง ทำให้เราต้องมีสติและสามารถบริหารจัดการได้ดี

นอกจากนี้ การทำงานเป็นทีม ก็สำคัญมาก เพราะเราต้องทำงานร่วมกับเพื่อนหลายคน ซึ่งแต่ละคนไม่เหมือนกัน ถ้าเราไม่ร่วมมือกัน โปรเจกต์จะเสร็จไม่ทันเวลา และสุดท้ายคือ ความสามารถในการปรับตัว เพราะทุกครั้งที่ฝึกงาน เราต้องปรับตัวให้เข้ากับวัฒนธรรมองค์กรที่แตกต่างกัน ดังนั้น เราต้องมีความยืดหยุ่นและพร้อมรับมือกับสภาพแวดล้อมใหม่ ๆ อยู่เสมอ

• ทำไมต้องเป็น PIM?
เพราะเราได้สัมผัสกับโลกการทำงานจริง แตกต่างจากที่ PIM ซึ่งให้เรามีโอกาสเรียนรู้จากสถานการณ์จริง ทำให้เรามี ประสบการณ์และทักษะที่สามารถนำไปใช้ในการสมัครงานได้ เมื่อเรียนจบ เราจะพร้อมสำหรับอาชีพในอนาคต และสามารถสร้างความแตกต่างให้กับตัวเองในตลาดงานได้

• What was your experience like at PIM?
My experience at PIM was very fulfilling, because I have met friends from other countries and received good advice from advisors and the professors were always eager to teach us, even on holidays they would still contact us, checking up on our projects and never tired of asking how we were doing. The program also offers academic studies along with practical training, which is an important part of my experience in this program. Because I think learning alone does not help to build myself up to be ready for my career, but practical training is the most important part for my success in study.

• Internship Experiences
I’ve done three internships. In my first year, I did an internship at 7-11 in a general position, which involved looking after the store, working as a cashier, a bartender, making coffee, stocking shelves, cleaning, everything in general. I learned to be patient with customers, and about the language barrier. From working at 7-11, I learned a lot of Thai, and got a lot of reading practice because everything on the cashier machine was in Thai, so I needed to be patient and learn in order to communicate with my colleagues and customers.

My second internship was at Siam Piwat in the business development and customer relations department, which was about making high-spending customers have a better experience in the mall, and offering promotions to both Thai and foreign customers because most customers at Siam are tourists, but there are a good number of Thai customers too.

In my final internship, I was at Sea Life Bangkok, under Merlin Entertainment, in a sales and marketing position. In sales, I helped to greet and make connections with agents from other countries. When they came, we would recommend our products and encourage them to promote Sea Life Bangkok in their countries. And we also tracked problems such as when some agencies sold the product at a cheaper price, and our business is at a premium level. They wanted us to help them tackle the problem. In marketing, I helped my manager to create different campaigns for different events such as Ocean Day and Halloween. The campaigns were aimed at making the kids who came to visit have a better experience at our attraction.

• Favorite part of the program
My favorite part is I like how we get to experience the market research. Like, when some class, we get the product from other country, and then we have to do the market research by ourselves. So, it help us gain a lot in terms of, in real life. If we want to do something like import any business, import any product we know exactly what we need to do. Because, even in the working life, we also have to do the same thing as we do in school as well, like doing research, do the market research, sending out surveys, testing the product before launching. So yeah, we kind of get familiar with it. So, in the future if we want to do something compared to it, so it’s easy for us.

• What do you gain from studying iMBE program?
I think I gained many skills in term of academic skills during class. We have learnt many courses, even the emotional intelligence, And also communication skill. During class there’s a lot of presentation. So even though you like very tend to be very afraid to talk, but you have to, because it’s like the course designed you to have a lot of communication during presentations. And time management is the big that involved. Because whenever, we have the project, we cannot just leave it and let the deadlines go over. We have to manage things a lot because it’s not just one presentation at a time. There’s a lot of presentation going on in just one week, so we have to be conscious and have to be manageable.

And teamwork in class is very important because we have to deal with a lot of people in our class and not everyone is the same. So if we don’t collaborate, the project will never get done in time. And adaptability because when during every internship, we have to adapt into different culture that we working in. So, we have to be adaptable and get used to the environment that even though we new to it but we have to.

• Why PIM?
If I were to persuade my juniors to study at PIM, it would be easy because I have experienced it myself. I can confidently compare PIM with other universities, especially in my home country, Cambodia, where education is mostly academic-focused.

At PIM, students don’t just learn theory—they gain real-world experience by exploring the workplace firsthand. This is what makes PIM stand out and attracts students because in today’s job market, having practical experience is essential. It enhances our CVs and gives us a competitive edge when applying for jobs.
