On March 13, 2025, the Future Skills Mission to Thailand was successfully held at Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), fostering collaboration between PIM and Australian educational institutions. The event welcomed a delegation from Alana Kaye College, Australian Pacific College & English Unlimited, Chisholm Institute, Melbourne Polytechnic, Victoria Government Trade & Investment, The University of Tasmania, the University of Technology Sydney, and the West Australian Institute of Further Studies. The mission was facilitated by the Australian Embassy in Thailand.

The event commenced with welcome remarks from Mr. Phornvit Phacharintanakul, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at PIM, followed by Mr. Daniel Boyer, Deputy CEO at Austrade, who emphasized Australia’s commitment to fostering global education partnerships.

The program featured an Australian Institution Pitching Session, networking opportunities, and one-on-one meetings, which were among the key highlights of the mission. These meetings allowed delegates to explore potential collaborations in key fields such as Food Business Management, Innovative Agriculture, Hospitality and Tourism, the International College, and the School of Nursing.
The primary objective of this mission was to explore collaboration opportunities between Thai and Australian institutions, particularly in skills development, workforce training, and academic partnerships.

The delegation also visited a workplace training facility at a 7-Eleven convenience store, gaining insights into PIM’s unique work-based education model.
This initiative reflects Thailand’s and Australia’s shared commitment to enhancing skills development and educational cooperation, fostering long-term partnerships between institutions in both countries.
