The program aimed to provide an opportunity for the students to understand and learn more about Thai culture. The program took place from 23 to 30 May 2023 with over 24 students participation. It was an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange and learning between the Canadian students and PIM
This marked the second time Langara College, Canada, is joining the short course program with PIM. Our unique program provides students with opportunities to gain knowledge while experiencing Thai culture in a short period. It includes lecture classes on Thailand’s business, Thai classical dancing and musical instruments, Thai cooking classes, cultural visits, and visit to eco-friendly companies.
The program began on the first day with a presentation by Ms. Tanarat Teeratanakiat, Director of International Marketing and Recruitment, and Mr. Thannaphat Kasemwattanasuk, Lecturer of International College. They introduced an overview of PIM, CP Group, shared information about the project from the International College (IC I-ISA).
In the afternoon, Canadian students attended a lecture class for understanding Thai business delivered by Mr. Panat Trisuvan from the International College. Followed by a basic Thai language class conducted by the IR staff. They also had the opportunity to tour the main facilities of PIM, including PIM Air, the Center for Innovation in Robotics and Automation (iCras), and the 7-Eleven Flagship store. Later, they participated in a basketball competition with Satit students.
Throughout the program, the students were not only having an amazing time with the various activities, but also enjoying the cultural trips to incredible places in Thailand such as Pattaya, Ayutthaya, and notable areas in Bangkok as well.
The collaborative short course program between PIM and Langara College provided students with a valuable educational and cultural experience. It strengthened the ties between the two institutions and promoted cross-cultural understanding. Both PIM and Langara College expressed their satisfaction with the program, highlighting the significance of international collaborations in fostering global education.
The program’s success further reinforces PIM’s commitment to providing enriching opportunities for international students and promoting cultural exchange.
