10 October 2020 was an important day for PIM as the Institute hosted its first business matching between six Finnish education organizations through the Embassy of Finland and selected school partners. Eleven Thai education institutions joined the event.
Opening the program, Mr. Jouni Kangasniemi, Senior Ministerial Adviser, Education Finland (under the Ministry of Education) expressed his thanks to PIM for arranging a platform for Finland to introduce ways to work together in the broad area of education. Mr. Siam Choksawangwong, Senior Vice President, PIM welcomed all the guests and encouraged everyone to maximize the morning and get to know each other.
Each organization was given time to share their expertise and examples of projects that were implemented in different countries in different ways of partnership. Some companies focused on early childhood education, others on the middle and high school years, and a few provided services for lifelong learning and tertiary education.
Dr. Usanee Kulintornprasert, Director, Office of International Relations, PIM shared her appreciation to all the attendees, while also underlining PIM’s goal to be a center of Finnish education in Thailand.
