On 26 September 2022, PIM was honored to ink a new agreement with PCS Security and Facilities Services to extend activities beyond internship and work placements with the Institute’s Faculty of Management Sciences.
Mr. Alvin Liew Voon Siong, Chief Financial Officer, PCS Security and Facilities Services expressed his gratitude to PIM for hosting the momentous occasion. He said that the day was a historic milestone in his organization’s 55-year history, noting his gratefulness to be associated with PIM, the CP Group’s Corporate University. The MOU with PIM is the door of opportunity to better define the future of facilities management, he underlined. He added that PCS Security and Facilities Services’s work is similar to PIM wherein the center of the business lies in human capital. He shared how education was transformative in his own life and sees PIM as instrumental for his staff to uplift themselves, and their families.
PIM President, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Sompop Manarungsan welcomed the opportunity to further allow PIM to implement the Institute’s unique internship component with PCS Security and Facilities Services. He mentioned that PIM is but 15-years old, and the university’s relatively new efforts allows flexibility when compared to traditional universities.
The highlight of the program was the signing ceremony with PIM students assisting in the activity. The program concluded with group photos and token exchange.
