PIM received the honor to support the practical studies of Korea’s Sun Moon University through partner, Ming Chuan University, Taiwan from 26 June to 23 July 2022, receiving two co-horts during this period.
Thirty-five (35) students and six (6) faculty members from Korea’s Sun Moon University were selected to join this unique program. The Korean students, who are enrolled in a Chinese language course in Ming Chuan University, Taiwan were placed in PIM to practice Chinese as part of their academic requirement.
The program consisted of lectures covering the appreciation of Chinese language and Chinese culture, Perspective of Koreans about Investments in Thailand, Differences between Thai and Korean Cultures, and Thailand’s Economic Trends and Investment: The Importance of KOTRA. Company visits were also arranged, the students were able to see the operations of Korean companies such as LocknLock and Amorepacific Group, a South Korean beauty and cosmetics chaebol, operating more than 30 beauty, personal care, and health brands including Sulwhasoo, Laneige, Mamonde, Etude, and innisfree. In addition, the program included visits to the beautiful art and cultural attractions in Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Samut Prakan, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai.
