Mr. Jani Hirvinen, a Finnish forefront developer for unmanned vehicles, continued his discussion with representatives from PIM’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology (ET) and the Faculty of Logistics and Transportation Management (LTM) on 8 October 2020. He was accompanied by Mrs. Chanintorn Hirvinen, General Manager, Unmanned Asia.
Mr. Jani shared his vision for the future in terms of several industries particularly for agriculture. He mentioned that the proliferation of drones will permeate many if not all industries. For farming systems, using drones to monitor crops would aide in precision fertilization and reduce undesirable results.
PIM’s Assoc.Prof. Paritud Bhandhubanyong enumerated some ways to work together, beginning with inviting Mr. Jani as a guest lecturer in the near future.
