Over 30 Satit PIM students enrolled in grade 9 (M4) attended the special talk by Dr. Chanikarn Wongviriyawong or Dr. Mint, a co-founder, CEO of start-up EATLAB and Assistant Professor in Complex Systems Modeling, King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).
Dr. Mint holds a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Political Science and Math, a master degree from MIT Media Lab, and a bachelor degree from Carnegie Mellon University with double minors in Robotics and Computer Science.
Dr. Mint founded EATLAB to perform data analytics specific to restaurant business. EATLAB offices are located in Bangkok and Singapore. During the session, she shared that the company’s mission to is help businesses effortlessly embed state-of-the-art AI into their day-to-day operations to maximize revenue and minimize cost. Specifically, Dr. Mint said that EATLAB uses technology to generate accurate predictions that can be incorporated into customer experience or business processes. Satit PIM advisors and students were impressed by Dr. Mint’s accomplishments in both academics and business. After the talk, an engaging Q&A and discussion transpired among Dr. Mint and the students.
Dr. Chanikarn and her team were also shown around the campus to several laboratories such as PIM Aviation Business Training Center (PIM Air) and Food Academy.
