Panyapiwat Institute of Management’s (PIM) executive team led by Mr. Siam Choksawangwong, Vice President, Administrative Affairs, warmly welcomed Mrs. Christina Macpherson, spouse of H.E. Taha Macpherson, Ambassador to Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, on 11 February 2020.
Mrs. Christina Macpherson, along with Ms. Chortip Pramoolpol, Market Manager, New Zealand Embassy, visited PIM Demonstration School (Satit PIM) to understand how the high school applies international pedagogical approaches within the Thai curriculum. After that, they joined Thai cooking classes, which included how to make Pad Thai and Thai milk tea. The classes were arranged by PIM’s Faculty of Food and Business Management.
Following the cooking classes, a company visit to Naraya Headquater, Cheangwattana Road, was set up in the afternoon. Ms. Wasana Lathouras, President of Naraya, kindly gave an overview of the company and its products to Mrs. Christina. Mrs. Christina and Ms. Chortip said they were impressed with Thai handmade fabric company, particularly its focus on community based production and sustainability.
