H.E. Mr. Taha Macpherson welcomed seventeen PIM Demonstration School (Satit PIM) students to the New Zealand Embassy in Bangkok on 4 February 2020. His Excellency shared that every year close to 4000 promising young Thais choose to study in New Zealand. He noted that there were four main factors: 1) safe and clean country 2) friendly people 3) high quality English education experience and 4) valuable education option based on future living.
“In New Zealand, we focus on traditional curricula and also look at the future needs in high technology areas such as biotechnology and mass computing. In the way of teaching, New Zealand uses interactive methods and practical ways to think innovatively.” he emphasized. “I hope you have a positive experience in New Zealand and come back home to Thailand to be better equipped in school, your future workplace, and to the kingdom,” His Excellency wished them a successful three-week immersion in Kāpiti College.
The students will be based in an idyllic area on the southern coast of the North island. During their study trip, they will be hosted by the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington and will be visiting the largest city Auckland.
