General Information
The objectives of the Visa Service for International Students are to publicize, inform, and cater to international students about student visa and other necessary information. The system consists of information about visa processes, visa application forms, and sample visa application forms.
There are 6 necessary visa related information that any foreigners, who wish to enter to the Kingdom of Thailand for educational purpose at Panyapiwat Institution of Management need to know.
Visa Procedures
This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to study, training session or internship in Thailand. Therefore, foreigner are advised to contact the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulate-General in the country of residence. (www.thaiembassy.org)
Notified: A person, who holds a Non-Immigrant Visa of all types, is allowed to stay in Thailand no longer than 90 days. To acquire Non-ED visa with 1 year validity, a person must apply for visa extension. (Please contact Nonthaburi Immigration in person for visa extension)
Once students arrive in Thailand, student must coordinate with the owner’s residence within 24 hours. This house notification is strictly required in order to extend and change the visa type, report the 90 days and apply for re-entry.
Submit documents by:
1) In person at the respective office, or through an authorized person at the respective office.
2) Registered mail.
3) Via electronics by either going to website (https://immigration.go.th) or by downloading an application: Notification of residence (TM.30).
Visa Extension: A person, who holds a Non-Immigrant Visa Code ED (Non-ED) or an education visa, you must apply for an extension to continue staying for 1 year before the expiration.
Changing of Visa Types: Those who intend to study in Thailand must hold the correct type of visa to be eligible to apply for Non-ED visa. And those who want to change of visa type documents to be submitted more than 15 days before visa expiration in support of the application for visa or visa status alteration for 90 days if you have overstayed, you are not allowed to submit an application for this type of visa (Non-Immigrant Visa Code ED). Only the Visa holder of these 2 types will be able to change type of the Visa.
► For the foreigner, who has Tourist and Transit Visa and applies for Visa Status Alteration and applies for Non-ED visa. However, a foreigner, who holds other types of visa but not a tourist visa, cannot apply Non-ED.
► For the foreigner, who enters into Thailand without Visa on arrival (VOA), but is allowed to stay in Thailand with a permit of stay for a period of 30 days, 90 days and applies for Non-ED.
Apply for “Visa Extension” and “Changing of Visa Types” Procedure (Process Download)
Step1 Student contacts a visa team in the Office of International Relations at the Multipurpose Building, on 2nd Floor.
Step2 The Office of International Relations will prepare documents.
Step3 Student prepares the documents and submit to the Office of International Relations
Step4 The Office of International Relations reviews the documents before schedule an appointment with student and Nonthaburi Immigration Office.
Step5 Student accompanied by the Office of International Relations to the Nonthaburi Immigration Office.
Student must prepare the following documents:
1) Student photograph (Must be in PIM uniform and Not older than 6 months) ; 1 inch size and 2 inch size for 1 each. (Student photograph example)
2) Passport, Photocopy of passport pages with following pages, last entries stamp, current visa, departure card (Form TM.6)
*In case the student frequently travels away from Thailand, please make a photo copy of every departure and arrival stamp.
*Student’s signature is required in every page (it must be identical with the signature in the student’s passport)
3) To study at a government university (Student Certification, Academic Transcript, Copy of Student I.D. Card and Receipt or Invoice of Tuition) and University Application (For new student)
*Student’s signature with confirmation and PIM logo stamp are required in every page (it must be identical with the signature in the student’s passport)
*For scholarship student, scholarships acceptance letter with signature of authorized person with PIM logo stamp is required.
4) Copy of receipt of notification for house-master, Owner of the possessor of the residence where alien has stayed (TM.30)
5) Application fee of Baht 1,900 for Visa Extension and 2,000 Bath for Change of Visa type.
In case the changing of institution
6) Visa Cancellation letter from the changing of the institution.
7) Academic Transcript from the changing of the institution.
In case of Non-B holder
8) Student must request for the Work Permit cancellation from the Department of Labor designated to the company.
9) Student must request for the Non-B Visa cancellation at the Immigration, submitting the letter issued by the company.

Notified:
1) The applicant must appear in person at Nonthaburi Immigration. (Map Download)
2) A person, who holds a Non-Immigrant visa of all types, is allowed to stay in Thailand no longer than 90 days. Then, you must apply for an extension to continue staying for the duration of one year. (This visa extension process must be applied a month prior to your visa expiration date).
3) In case of expired visa, the fine for overstaying will be charged at 500 baht/day but not exceed 20,000 baht.
4) Student who wish to extend or change type of visa must contact the Office of International Relations to schedule an appointment before visiting the Immigration Office. No Walk-in allowed.
Applying for your first 90 days extension counts as your 90 days report. Student must inform the Immigration authority in case of staying in the Kingdom of Thailand over 90 days (90 Days Report). This must be done at the designated immigration office of your registerd residence, and repeat every 90 days.
Student must prepare the following documents:
1) Application form for alien to notify of staying longer than 90 days (Form TM.47), (Sample Form TM.47)
2) Receipt of previous notifications of staying over 90 days (Example for 90 days report receipt 1, 2)
3) Passport, Photocopy of passport pages with following pages (Front page showing name/surname/Passport No., ect., current visa, last entry stamp of immigration, last extension of visa) and Photocopy of departure card TM.6
4) Receipt of house master-master notification document.
Submit documents by:
1) In person at the respective office, or through an authorized person at the respective office.
2) Registered mail.
3) Via electronics by either going to website (https://immigration.go.th) or by downloading an application: Immigration e-Service Foreigner
Notified:
1) A student does not need to visit immigration in person, or you can authorize someone to report for you.
2) 90 days report could be submitted 15 days prior to your date or 7 days later.
3) In case of you surpass 90 days of your report date, you will be subjected of 2,000 Baht fine.
4) If student leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case.
5) It is highly recommended to proceed for 90 days report at Nonthaburi immigration. To proceed at other immigration offices, house notification is also required. (90 Days Report must be done at the designated immigration office of your registerd residence e.g. the registed residence located in Nonthaburi, the 90 days report will be done at the Nonthaburi Immigration Office or the registed residence located in Bangkok, the 90 days report will be done at Muangthong Tani Center.)
Travelling out of the country after granted permission to temporarily stay in the Kingdom of Thailand will cause the permit to be revoked. Once return and allowed to enter the country, the permit will be valid until the end of your visa expiration date.
Student must prepare the following documents:
1) Application for re-entry permit into the Kingdom (Form TM.8), (Sample Form TM.8)
2) Photograph 2 inch size, 1 picture.
3) Passport, Photocopy of passport pages with following pages, last entries stamp, current visa, departure card (TM.6)
4) Application fee for re-entry permit: 1,000 THB for single or 3,800 THB for multiple.
Submit documents by:
1) In person at the respective office.
2) Via internet going to website (https://immigration.go.th)
Notified: The applicant must appear in person at the immigration offices throughout the country.
Once students graduate or no longer hold student status with the institute, Student MUST inform the office of International Relations to issue visa cancellation letter for students.
Apply for Visa Cancellation Procedure: (Process Download)
Step1 Student contacts a visa team In the Office of International Relations at the Multipurpose Building, on 2nd Floor.
Step2 The Office of International Relations will prepare documents.
Step3 Student prepare documents.
Step4 The Office of International Relations send all documents to student.
Step5 Student submit documents at Nonthaburi immigration.
Student must prepare the following documents: Passport, Photocopy of passport pages with following pages, last entries stamp, current visa, departure card (Form TM.6)
Notified: Panyapiwat Institute of Management will take NO responsibility for any act committed by the students, and will NOT issue/approve any document e.g. passport, visa extension, 90 days report and re-entry permit for the students.
Apply for new passport procedure in case of 1) The passport is lost or stolen 2) The passport is expired, damaged, short on pages, expiring within 6 months; The applicants can apply for a new passport by submitting documents at The Royal and Consulate in Thailand and Thai Royal and Consulate in your residence country
How to apply for new passport procedure
Step1 Case 1; If you are lost and stolen passport. Student contact at The police station and request for the police report (A police report stating for the loss of the old passport)
Step2 Student submit documents at;
► The Royal and Consulate in Thailand or
► Thai Royal and Consulate in your residence country.
Required Document to be submitted (Case 1; for lost and stolen passport); Request of change new passport, Thai police report, Photograph 2-inch size for 3 pictures, Application fee, Passport (If any)
Required Document to be submitted (Case 2; for Passport is expired, expired of passport pages); Request of change new passport, Photograph 2 inch size for 3 pictures, Application fee, Old Passport, Photocopy of passport pages with following pages, last entries stamp, current visa, departure card (Form TM.6)
Step3 The embassy acknowledge the request and issue the Certificate of Identify (It be used temporarily instead of the passport) before schedule an appointment to receive the new passport.
* Processing time between 4-6 weeks.
* Once student arrive in Thailand to the immigration check point, student must carefully check your own passport for some important remarks e.g. Visa stamp for Non-ED or Non-RE, Validity of Visa Expiration date, The over 90-day stay for foreigners (TM.47). If there is any correction needed, do not hesitate to inform the person in charge immediately.
How to receive your passport;
1) The applicant may collect your passport at the Embassy and Consulate.
2) The applicant representative may collect a passport by showing a power of attorney together with the receipt and ID card of the representative.
3) The applicant may request the embassy and consulate to mail his/her passport by providing self-addressed return envelope.
*Please note that the Royal and Consulate is not liable for any lost documents.
Visa Transfer (Passport Endorsement) Student submit documents at Nonthaburi immigration.

5) New Passport and copy.
Notified:
1) The following information must be provided: Passport or travel document number, place and date of issue, visa type, port and mode of arrival, date of arrival (first date of arrival) and admission period, the reason for changing passport or travel document and transferring visa stamp.
2) In case of foreign national with an application for residence in the Kingdom, the date of application for residence as well as the consideration period must be given. If during the consideration period a re-entry permit was issued and the applicant has left and re-entered the country, evidence of the most recent arrival must be given.
