What did you expect before studying here?
After I was selected for the CP ALL scholarship at PIM, my expectations were to learn about and experience “work-based education.” My belief is that I could have experienced one internship for every two semesters, which is something that I had never heard of before. Additionally, I hope to use those practical skills for future benefits.
What did you gain from studying here?
Throughout this 3.5-year learning process, both onsite and online, I would say I gained both soft and hard skills. For hard skills, I get to understand and use the technologies in the classroom. I get to know different kinds of digital tools to speed up my study and work lives. On the other hand, having lots of group work helps me improve soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. All these aspects and experiences made me who I am today.
What is the benefit of studying iMTM that you like the most and useful for you?
There are many things to say, but one thing I want to mention is group projects. For these 3.5 years, I have at least 20 projects to work on as a team. Those experiences taught me lots about research, management, organizing, planning, responsibility, and dealing with people.
What was your experience like at PIM?
It was an exciting experience, but at the same time, a bit sad. The exciting part is being able to learn from, share with, meet, and have fun with friends in class. The sad part is we were in the COVID 19 season, where everything was different from what it used to be (no onsite class, no gathering). It will be much more exciting and enjoyable if we have a class on site.
What advice do you have for our juniors?
There are 3 things that I want to give.
First, a good grade is important when you are a student. When you need to find a job, experience is the main factor. So take your internship seriously because it can help you in the future. Second, teamwork plays an important role in studying. Choose your team wisely. Lastly, have fun, but be accountable. Enjoy life as much as you can, but don’t forget to learn skills. Otherwise, we will regret it later.
